What is FLAC to MIDI?

FLAC stores the same PCM as a WAV, just compressed without quality loss. For transcription that means you keep clean onsets while staying under the file-size cap more easily than an uncompressed bounce.

Is FLAC the same quality as WAV for this tool?
For transcription, yes — FLAC is lossless. You get the same PCM the detector would hear from a WAV of that recording.
Why does my FLAC fail to decode?
Some unusual FLAC encodings or corrupted downloads fail in the browser decoder. Re-export from your DAW as 16-bit or 24-bit FLAC, or bounce WAV instead.
Is anything uploaded?
No. FLAC decoding and inference both happen locally in the tab.
Can I use MP3 here too?
